ABOUT ME
As a child I loved to make aeroplanes out of mud and tried to fire them in a small bonfire.  Later on I was able to further my interest in mud at Cardiff College of Art Ceramics Department.

Then, having married and had five children I taught art in Aberdeen mainly through the medium of clay. After a few years I took early retirement so that I could finally give enough time and space to my mud activities. I decided to return to college at Cardiff where I studied for a Masters Degree. This gave me opportunity to experiment and find my direction.
I now work from a studio at my house. I enjoy diverse methods of making using stoneware and porcelain clays. I make both large and small pieces which have their inspiration in the Scottish wilder landscapes. My colours also are from the same source. I love firing kilns where the fire is very much in evidence.  Some of these experiences take me back to  my childhood though I no longer make
aeroplanes
